Why You Should Go

Buccaneer Bay is Florida’s one and only spring-fed water park, and it’s located right in Weeki Wachee Springs. Here you’ll find much more than just a swimming area, but also high-speed water slides, flume rides, a tube ride, a lazy river, sandy beaches, and a beach volleyball court. Although the water park features are seasonal, the beach and swimming are open 365 days a year.

Buccaneer Bay offers a fun and affordable way to stay cool and entertain the kids when they’re out of school for summer vacation. But what sets this water park apart from others in Florida is that there are so many different things to do at Weeki Wachee Springs.

It’s easy to spend an entire day at this state park by splashing around at Buccaneer Bay for a few hours and then drying off to check out some of the other attractions too.  Your daily admission fee grants you access to Buccaneer Bay, the mermaid shows, wildlife shows, and river boat rides.

If you live in the area, consider getting an annual pass for $60 per person because the pass includes free admission to all Florida State Parks, including this water park, for a year.

When your family gets hungry or thirsty, Pirates Grubb, the Snack Shack, and the Tiki Bar serve up delicious burgers, hot dogs, ice cream treats, and drinks. You can also bring your own food inside the water park to enjoy a beach picnic!
