Larger kitchens with modern espresso-toned cabinetry accent the open suites with uniquely homey touches. Lots of colorful trim and accent pieces really bring the place to life, so it’s a pretty uplifting spot to settle in for a while. A nice recreation area surrounds the rectangle pool with grills and chairs, and across the street, you’ll find more entertainment at the local movie theater. A short walk in either direction will take you to shops and food joints like Panera Bread, Target, Fresh Market and loads of other hot spots. Breakfast is more than adequate, with yummy waffles, breakfast sandwiches and above-average coffee.

Dipping as low as 80 bucks a night, you get a great value on your hard-earned money at Sleep Inn in Columbus near Columbus State University. The lobby is warm and welcoming with wood touches and a cute staircase with a metal railing, which leads to guest rooms that more than meet expectations. The coffee in Columbus, for some reason or another, is consistently delicious because guests rave about it here, too. Breakfast is, of course, included and has all of our favorite staples like eggs, yogurt and freshly made waffles.

Best Western Plus is almost always a sure bet when searching for consistency, comfort and amenities that make life a little easier. The front entrance and lobby are streamlined and nice, while the breakfast served every morning are extensive and satisfying. Customer service is highly rated here, with rooms being touted as perfectly clean and front desk attendants going above and beyond. The location is near shopping and restaurants for added convenience.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbus-Fort Benning
You can always count on Holiday Inn—the design is typically kept up to date, the complimentary breakfast features little extras and the price is pretty predictable and affordable. At this site, you’ll find a sufficient workout room to complete an adequate cardio workout, along with a laundry area if staying for a while. The hotel goes the extra mile with the layout of rooms for the disabled—they are super spacious and accessible, making for a much more comfortable stay than at other hotels. For hanging out, there’s a nice pool and even a cocktail lounge which serves some pretty good drinks.

The indoor pool area is the most impressive aspect of the Fairfield Inn—it’s quite large and clean-cut, with a big hot tub as well. A tiny market with essentials and snacks is located in the commons area—a much-welcomed convenience. The onsite fitness area is well-equipped and in the lobby, you’ll always be pleasantly surprised with the little extras like infused water, hot cocoa, and again, highly praised coffee.
