Pavlo Fedykovych

Pavlo Fedykovych has been with Trips to Discover since 2021, joining the team as a travel writer. He currently lives between Canada and Poland while continuing to travel the world extensively.

Changing cities and continents is a lifestyle for Pavlo, he has been to more than 40 countries across the globe. He can’t get enough of exploring the world and loves to share this passion through travel writing. Pavlo is a big fan of food, history, culture, local traditions, and music. Some of the memorable moments from his travels include witnessing Northern Lights from the fjord in Norway, trekking the desert in Jordan, and exploring ancient stepwells in India. San Diego, Montreal, and Paris are among his favorite cities in the world. California has a special place in his heart.

Pavlo has been working as a travel writer for more than 8 years. His first job in the industry was for Lonely Planet. Since then, Pavlo’s work was published by CNN Travel, BBC Travel, The Independent Travel, The Irish Times, The Guardian Travel, Time Out, and Fodor's. He also wrote for in-flight magazines, prestige coffee publications, art guides, the Council of Europe, and tech startups. Pavlo is an expert in European and North American destinations with a particular focus on places, hotels, and vacation rentals.

Travel writing is Pavlo’s first and only job. He has two master's degrees in European Law, having lived and studied in Belgium. But something about the legal profession didn’t feel right for him. So Pavlo created his own travel blog while studying at the university and that led to a Lonely Planet job offer. He believes that travel writing is his calling in life and is immensely happy doing it full-time.
