Welcoming the New Year is a symbolic and exciting thing; making it special is important. Perhaps you’d rather snuggle up at home with snacks and champagne, but if you’re looking to venture out, these Georgia celebrations will make lifelong memories for you and your family.
Dropping of the Edelweiss, Helen
Georgia’s adorable alpine village, Helen, will be celebrating the oncoming of 2022 this New Year’s Eve. Enjoy an evening of music, snacks, dancing, and midnight champagne for toasting. If you were wondering, the Edelweiss is a flower found high in the Alps; Helen’s light-up version mimics all of the other popular countdown “drops” in the US.
Savannah's Waterfront New Year's Eve Celebration
Savannah has got it all for a New Year’s Eve celebration. Jam out to live music at Savannah City Market, wine and dine at one of the many restaurants or view the fireworks show from River Street or beachside on Tybee Island. Another perk is Savannah’s open container policy, which allows people to carry and drink alcoholic beverages (so long as they are in a plastic, 16-ounce cup) through the Historic District.
NYE Live! at the Battery Atlanta
Ring in 2022 with exclusive access to Sports & Social Atlanta and PBR Atlanta and enjoy premium beverage packages and buffets. There are also all-inclusive packages with entertainment, including live music, as well as swag bags and a balloon drop. At midnight, there’s a champagne toast with the Times Square Ball Drop streamed on the 32-foot screen. This is a good “go-to” for those wanting to hit the club scene for the night.
Shamrock Drop!, Dublin
Along with a huge street party, Dublin, Georgia, hosts an Irish shamrock drop. Marvel at the illuminated shamrock that descends from atop the historic Fred Roberts building while listening to live music and enjoying a selection of food and drinks beneath the marquee of Theatre Dublin.
