Snake River Grill, Jackson
One of our all-time favorite restaurants in Wyoming is the Snake River Grill, which serves New American cuisine in a fine dining atmosphere. It’s been on the town square in Jackson for over 25 years and is set in an elegant log cabin with a cozy fireplace and bar. The restaurant was founded in 1993 by partners Alan Hirschfield and August Spier. Here you can celebrate something special with the restaurant’s over 300 wines and cocktails to choose from, then kick things off with a shared starter, such as the SRG potato pancake or the Tai snapper sashimi. For main courses, try the crispy pork shank, pan-seared organic chicken breast, and the Alaskan halibut. Stop by for dinner any night of the week from 5:30pm to 9:30pm to try out this foodie hotspot.
Wyoming’s Rib and Chop House, Sheridan
Wyoming’s Rib and Chop House is an excellent place to dine in Wyoming if you’re looking for delicious steaks and seafood in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant actually has quite a few locations throughout Wyoming, Montana, and Utah, but the one in Sheridan is always a favorite among people who live and travel here. The restaurant is open daily from 11am to 10pm, with brunch served on Sundays and happy hours on weekdays from 3pm to 7pm. The Rib & Chop House was originally founded in 2001 and is committed to Rocky Mountain hospitality. Highly recommended appetizers include the fried green tomatoes and the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms. Traditional favorites on the dinner menu are the chicken fried steak, hand-cut ribeye, pot roast, and lamb chops. Here you’ll also find lots of fish options, pastas, sandwiches, and a kids’ menu.
Sweet Melissa’s, Laramie
If meat dishes aren’t really your thing, definitely make a point to visit Sweet Melissa’s in Laramie. This is a casual restaurant that specializes in vegetarian fare, organic beers, and has a chill vibe. Sweet Melissa’s has been serving comfort food for vegetarians since 1999. It serves lunch, dinner, and drinks, and it’s good for kids too. Front Street Tavern is a part of this restaurant and serves up local brews. Menu favorites include sandwiches like the seitan gyro and the hula burger made with a lentil or black bean patty. Also, try the grilled hummus sandwich and the quiche of the day. Sweet Melissa’s is open every day except for Sunday from 11am to 9pm.
Bubba’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant, Jackson
For meat lovers, a trip to Bubba’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Jackson is a must. This is the longest-running barbecue restaurant in town and has been serving up delicious meals for over 40 years. This restaurant has an old-school vibe with booth seating and tempting homemade pies. There’s also a fresh salad bar and outdoor seating to enjoy nice days outside as well. Bubba’s is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you can stop by any day of the week between 6:30am and 9pm. Bubba’s breakfast specials include eggs Benedict and house smoked salmon Benedict. Meanwhile, the dinner menu is focused on pulled pork, smoked turkey, ribs, sirloin, and chicken strips.
Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse, Gillette
For an Asian twist on your favorite meats, stop by Sapporo Japanese Steakhouse in Gillette, Wyoming. If you happen to be in Sheridan, Douglas, or Rock Springs, you’re in luck because there are Sapporo locations here too. This is a Japanese steakhouse with hibachi, sushi, and a full bar. You can pop in for lunch to get a tasty bento box or sushi roll and even order online for quick pick-up. The Gillette location is open for lunch from 11am to 2:30pm on Sundays and from 11am to 3pm every other day. Then it’s open for dinner from 2:30pm or 3pm to 10pm or 10:30pm every day. Roll or hand roll sushi typically runs from $6-7, with specialty rolls more like $12-15 each.
Wyoming Ale Works, Casper
Wyoming is also an awesome place for craft beer lovers, and some of the best beer establishments serve great food too. For example, the Wyoming Ale House in Casper serves food made with regionally sourced ingredients to pair with its 40+ craft beers on tap. This is a casual restaurant that serves lunch for about $12-15 per person and dinner for $20-30 per person. It’s kid-friendly, has an outdoor patio, and offers lovely views. Come here for a wide selection of burgers, wings, entree salads, varied sandwiches, steaks, fish, and wood-fired pizza. Also, stop by for happy hour for drink specials and half-price appetizers!
Lotus, Jackson
If you love eating organic foods as much as possible, then definitely plan to dine at the Lotus in Jackson. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is also a juicery and bar. It opens daily at 8am and is a local go-to spot for cold-pressed juices and globally inspired cuisine. It has one of the best veggie burgers you’ll find anywhere and is a healthy choice you’ll feel good about.
310 Restaurant, Deaver
While many of the top restaurants in Wyoming are in the bigger cities, Wyoming 310 is a rural restaurant that has been getting a lot of local attention lately. Located in Deaver, which has a population of about 178, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and its prices complement its tasty food. Local favorites are the chicken fried chicken, ribeye, and burgers. Owned by M Sisters LLC, 310 Restaurant has beer, liquor, and wine to serve as well. It’s open from 1-7pm on Sunday and 11am to 9pm every other day.
