Antarctica

The ultimate dream trip for adventurers, visiting Antarctica isn’t cheap, but it is an experience of a lifetime. As the Drake Passage between South America’s Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica is very rough, one of the best ways to do it is to join an expedition from Punta Arenas in Chile that will fly over the passage, landing in the South Shetlands where you’ll meet up with your vessel. You’ll have more time to enjoy the company of whales, penguins, seals, and tons of seabirds. A trip with Antarctica Travel Group, one of the most highly rated, includes Zodiac tours to explore the landscape with polar guides, with possible visits to the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Sound, the Gerlache Strait, and the Penola Strait.
