You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including kitchenette items like a small fridge and freezer, sink, and toaster oven. There’s a composting toilet and a shower too. With Portland just 30 minutes away, you’ll have easy access to shopping, dining, breweries, and a wealth of attractions in the city too.
Vibrant Mt View Apple Orchard Cottage - Sebago
Located at Douglas Hill Orchard, a pick-your-own orchard that’s been operating as a farm for nearly 200 years, this cottage is more of a glamping experience, accommodating up to three guests. It’s the kind of place where you can wake up to the songs of the birds instead of traffic. You’ll be perfectly situated for enjoying nearby Sebago Lake, hiking the Douglas Mountain trails, playing on Saco River, ATVing, biking, and more. There’s a heated outdoor shower and you’ll have a unique outhouse – the host calls it “Maine’s finest,” made from a treehouse. There is a cold water sink in the kitchen that’s fed by a garden hose and you’ll need to bring sleeping bags or linens for the sofa bed and air mattress. In September and October, join the visitors for some apple picking.

The 1790s farmhouse has lots of original features like wide plank floors and exposed beams, along with modern comforts, including a new kitchen with a coffee grinder and coffeemaker, an outdoor propane grill, a pellet stove, and Wi-Fi.
