Have a Mountaintop Breakfast at Top of the World Waffles in Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Corbet’s Cabin is located on Rendezvous Peak in the Teton Mountain Range, at an elevation of 10,450 feet. Simple and cozy, this warm escape from the blistering cold serves up a simple menu, and warm, steamy waffles with unique toppings. Its picturesque setting and amazing breakfast treats has earned the cabin its name; Top of the World Waffles.

Luckily, you don’t have to be an extreme hiker to get to Corbet’s Cabin, although many adventurists do choose to work up a heck of an appetite by making the journey on foot. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s “Big Red” aerial tram carts loads of sightseers and skiers to Rendevous Peak every day. Tram tickets cost around $30 roundtrip—but I promise, the experience is worth it.

The Cabin is literally feet away from the tram dock, and if you’re there in the dead of winter, you’ll be running for that door. It’s beyond frigid up there. Summer time temps can be relatively cool too, so bring a jacket.

While other snacks are available, waffles are the famed item. One of the best selections is the Traditional, or “The Trad”, which comes slathered in brown sugar butter—yes, it’s as good as it sounds. Corbet’s Cabin has a rustic feel with lots of wood and frost covered windows. You’ll see skiers bravely plummet down the slopes as you sip your coffee and unwrap a waffle from its warm, foil cocoon. All the ingredients are melty and so perfect. Coffee, hot chocolate, beer and milk are some of the available drink choices.
