Board the Polar Express at the Palestine depot. This 30-minute ride takes passengers to the North Pole where Santa and his elves are waiting. This train ride is a one-of-a-kind adventure. Children are encouraged to bring their copy of the Polar Express as well as dress in their pajamas just like the character in the book.
Starting Friday, November 19, 2021, the Polar Express by the Texas State Railroad runs approximately four times a day until December 26th. On the way to the North Pole, listen to the story of the Polar Express while you enjoy sugar cookies and hot chocolate served by dancing waiters.
Once the train arrives at the North Pole, Santa and his elves board the train. Santa then hands every little passenger a bell cut off his sleigh. Only those who believe in Santa will be able to hear the bell’s ring! This is also a great time to depart the train, take pictures and shop at the gift shop. However, the adventure isn’t over yet. Aboard the train for the return trip back to the Palestine depot, where train attendants lead in the singing of Christmas carols and holiday songs.
