Corn mazes are like gigantic puzzles that you walk through, with paths cut into cornfields that include loops and dead ends aimed to get you lost. Anderson Farms, Erie
Anderson Farms is home to the state’s longest-running corn maze. The 25-acre site features over eight miles of trails, and as you make your way through, there are all sorts of terrifying creatures to encounter. There are three different games to choose from, including a crime/farm scene investigation, along with six checkpoints that are hidden in each of the maze’s three larger sections. The goal is to find all 18, though you may exit from a designated location at any time. The farm also offers zombie paintball and hosts a pumpkin patch, gem mining and other activities.

Fritzler Corn Maze, La Salle
The Fritzler Corn Maze is another one of Colorado’s top attractions every October. Located just south of Greeley, the traditional corn maze is packed with all sorts of twists and turns, providing the ideal opportunity for family or groups of friends to work together to conquer the maze. A number of other activities are offered as well, like the barrel train, pedal go-carts, yard games, and human foosball.

Rock Creek Farm, Broomfield
Rock Creek Farm is just minutes from both Denver and Boulder and features 120 acres of U-Pick pumpkins as well as over nine miles of family-friendly corn mazes. The farm also offers the chance to enjoy tasty treats and cuddle up to farm animals like a pony and a calf, and check out gorgeous birds of prey after you’ve tested out your navigational skills.

Cottonwood Farms, Lafayette
Cottonwood Farms is a family-owned farm located just east of Boulder in Lafayette. It features a pumpkin patch, fall produce, Halloween and autumn decor, wagon rides, an antique steam engine and farm equipment, and lots of animals, including chickens, goats, sheep, cows, and bunnies, along with a straw bale maze for the little ones and a four-acre corn maze. The best part? All activities, with the exception of the hayrides, are free after the $5 admission rate. Children 5 and under and seniors 65 and over are free.

Mile High Farms is located in Bennett, just east of Denver, and offers a wide range of fall and Halloween-focused attractions that make it almost like a theme park. It includes a pumpkin patch, two corn mazes – a large challenging maze and a mini-maze for kids, as well as antique tractor hayrides and a creative fall festival town. The little ones will love Grover’s Garden with farm animals for petting, as well as the play castle and a bouncy castle. There are unlimited barrel cart rides, a farmer’s playground, and even stage performances to enjoy, as well as a variety of food, treats and drinks for sale.

Maize in the City, Thornton
Maize in the City was previously named the best corn maze by the Denver Westword. It is located just a short drive from Denver and also offers a wide range of fall activities, including a 20-acre corn maze and a kids’ mini maze. The main maze includes a smartphone trivia game to make it more fun and interactive. Pick out your perfect pumpkin from the hundreds of pumpkins in the pumpkin field, and let the kids have fun with the jumping castle, petting zoo, corn kernel box, riding ponies and a mini-train. You can even create your own custom sand art at the Maize in the City Sand Art station.

Studt's Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze, Grand Junction
For those on the western side of the state, Studt’s is a major fall attraction in Grand Junction that offers a whole lot more than a pumpkin patch and a corn maze. Its corn maze is considered to be the biggest and best in the region and features three different games to play within the maze, along with two story trails for younger kids. There’s also a zip-line ride, a petting zoo with farm animals, interactive corn cannons, a giant slide, pony rides, horse-drawn hayrides and concession stands. The pumpkins for sale are all non-GMO and grown without pesticides, too, making them ideal not only for carving those Jack o’lanterns but for making delicious pumpkin pies.

Diana's Pumpkin Patch Corn Maze, Canon City
At Diana’s Pumpkin Patch Corn Maze in Canon City, less than an hour southwest of Colorado Springs, visitors can enjoy a family-friendly environment and a fantastic maze that has a different theme, game and layout every year. Past themes included pirate adventures with a maze shaped like a pirate ship. The family-owned farm also offers a variety of pumpkins for sale, a hay slide and duck races, all of which are included in one admission cost.
