I have fond memories of visiting the Dells with my parents as a kid and having so many exciting and fun ways to play. Water parks are a big part of the draw to the Dells, and there are many to choose from depending on the season and age of your kids.

Noah's Ark

Noah’s Ark is a top Wisconsin Dells attraction that has been welcoming guests since 1979. Today, the water park offers 51 waterslides, two lazy rivers, two wave pools, and other attractions. The water park spans 70 acres and is known for being a very safe and clean way to have a water park-theme vacation. In addition to the splash-worth attractions, Noah’s Ark is home to multiple food and drink options, including a poolside bar, Dole Whip Oasis, Mexican cantina, and saloon-style restaurant. There are season passes available and discounts for Wisconsin residents. Opening day for the water park tends to be around Memorial Day each year.

Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park

Mt. Olympus has an indoor water park in the Wisconsin Dells area that is open between mid-September and mid-May. There is also a new indoor expansion area that is open year-round. The outdoor water park at this venue offers America’s first rotating water slide, tidal pool, and multi-person raft slides and rides. There is overnight lodging available at Mt. Olympus, as well as an outdoor theme park with rollercoaster rides, go-kart tracks, a kiddie train, and more. Other things you can check out here for entertainment are putt-putt golf, bumper cars, a rock climbing wall, and an arcade. Lodging is available in stand-alone buildings at the resort and on the Wisconsin Dells Strip. You can also plan a camping adventure here with a tent site or cabin.

At the Chula Vista Resort, families can enjoy a water park resort with 200,000 square feet of water parks. The resort has an excellent steakhouse, a world-class spa, and an 18-hole golf course too. This is a year-round destination in the Wisconsin Dells with 620 guest rooms, 27 water slides, five restaurants, and 18 ziplines. Water park passes are included with all overnight stays at the resort. The indoor water park spans over 80,000 square feet, while the outdoor water park features 30-foot drops and other excitement in cool, refreshing pools. The Wilderness Resort is unique in the Wisconsin Dells because it offers four indoor and four outdoor water parks. The indoor water park areas feature Yeehaw’s Watering Hole with a new swim-up bar, Klondike Kavern Waterpark with over 65,000 square feet of space, the Wild Waterdome Waterpark with 70,000 square feet of space, newly renovated Wild West Waterpark, Cubby’s Cove that little ones love, and Margarita’s Swim-Up bar for the parents. For your water park trip to the Wisconsin Dells, you might also want to check out Land of Natura, which is a natural theme park and water park with many attractions. Waterworld at this venue is America’s largest inflatable water park, while there are also on-land adventures for little explorers, 120-foot slides to plunge into Lake Wisconsin Dells and beach volleyball and sand soccer courts onsite. Land of Natura is located in a beautiful place to experience the more natural side of the Wisconsin Dells. There are over 10 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails throughout the park, as well as a treetop walkway, floating cabana rentals, kayak and SUP rentals, and ornamental gardens.

There are multiple Great Wolf Lodge locations throughout the U.S., including a highly recommended Great Wolf Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells. The resort here has an 80,000-square-foot water park with 13 slides and nine pools that are kept at a comfortable temperature of 84 degrees year-round. Unlimited playtime in the indoor water park is included with your stay at the resort. There are daily events for families to enjoy and spacious suites to help you feel right at home. Aside from having fun in the water, kids will also enjoy the arcade, Build-a-Bear workshop, and other attractions.

There are water park hotels in the Wisconsin Dells that you can stay at to keep the fun going all vacation long. For example, the Atlantis Family Waterpark Hotel has a year-round water park and offers free passes to registered guests to access Knuckleheads Adventure Park. The water park onsite is best for kids under age 11 and features toddler slides, tube slides, basketball hoops, lap pools, and spray features. The hotel has a game room, whirlpool suites, bunk bed suites, and two-room suites for families. From this location, you can walk to Noah’s Ark, boat rides, restaurants, and other fun things to do in the Dells.

Just a bit further away from the main attractions of the Dells is the Kalahari Indoor Water Park, which offers 125,000 square feet of fun to splash around. The indoor water park is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, and access to the water park is included with your overnight stay. Children under 48 inches tall must wear a life vest, and there are some life vests available on a first-come, first-served basis at the resort. In addition to the water slides onsite, there is also a wave simulator, indoor/outdoor spa, lazy river, and swim-up bar.
