Rafting rides, other plummeting slides and a surf machine are situated inside, along with a water playground with spurting fountains and a giant bucket that tips over and floods everyone in the vicinity. Two outdoor parks, Salamander Springs and Lake Wilderness open seasonally and reduce crowd concentration in one given area.
In addition to the water-based entertainment, Adventure Forest playground is dryer amusement area when you’ve had enough water fun. The rope course towers at three levels and mini golf is made a lot more challenging and interesting when playing in black light, while a laser tag venue boasts multiple levels and hiding spots.
Three different accommodation options are offered at Wilderness at the Smokies. Stone Hill Lodge is the place to stay if you’re wanting to have direct access to the Sevierville Event Center or Salamander Springs outdoor waterpark. However, River Lodge is connected to the indoor water park, Lake Wilderness and Adventure Forest. Stone Hill offers more traditional rooms while River Lodge features massive suites with swanky accents. Then there is the Sanctuary Villas, which are basically luxurious homes.
Shuttles are always on hand to transport guests to different parts of the resort, including the different water parks, retail shops and fitness center. As for food, poolside snack shacks offer basic munchies while two on-site restaurants serve more hearty lunch and dinner options. At Hidden Trail Bar and Grill, kids under eight eat free, and The Thirsty Miner boasts a popular chicken chowder.
