Front and center at Wilderness at the Smokies is the Wild WaterDome, the largest indoor water park in the Smoky Mountains, which also is equipped with a transparent roof (so you still need sunscreen!) Raft down the huge funnel waterslide that lights up at night or melt into the 1,000 square foot hot tub that extends from its indoor setting to the outdoor air. Rafting rides, other plummeting slides and a surf machine are situated inside, along with a water playground with spurting fountains and a giant bucket that tips over and floods everyone in the vicinity. Two outdoor parks, Salamander Springs and Lake Wilderness open seasonally and reduce crowd concentration in one given area.
