Chasing waterfalls is one of the best things to do in Arizona. These waterfalls are as intriguing as they are powerful, creating soothing background sounds and offering outdoor enthusiasts a chance to immerse themselves in nature. Here are a few of the hidden gem waterfalls that you can venture out to in the beautiful state of Arizona.
Fossil Creek Waterfall
Fossil Creek’s impressive river passes over 20,000 gallons of water through each minute, which is the foundation for the beautiful Fossil Creek Waterfall. It’s an easy hike to it, and the stunning turquoise-colored waters make it worthwhile.
Wolf Creek Falls
One of Prescott’s best-kept secrets is the one-mile hike out to the waterfall that sometimes flows as high as 90 feet. Even on days when the water is down, the scenery surrounding it is spectacular.
Bridal Wreath Falls
Even though this trail is only open from March to October, the moderate six-mile hike will lead you to a waterfall that makes for some awesome photography. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes, you will get wet!
Tonto Natural Bridge Falls
The best time of year to visit these falls is in the spring or summer. To get to them take The Gowan Trail Loop for just under half a mile. The stunning views of water falling above you are amazing!
Grand Falls
Grand Falls is located just northwest of Flagstaff and are actually taller than Niagra Falls at 185 feet. This spot is so remote that only four-wheel-drive vehicles can get to them, and only at certain times of the year.
Beaver Falls
These falls are located just six miles away from Supai and a fitness challenge to get to! Some believe that Beaver Falls is a lot of little falls stacked on top of each other, due to the way it flows.
Seven Falls
This waterfall isn’t something that anyone can just drive to, but it’s more of a reward to see after completing the grueling 4.6 miles it takes to get to it in the Sabino Canyon region.
Havasu Falls
The bright blue-green waters of Havasu Falls are so majestic that they draw people to them from all over the country. Not only are these stunning waterfalls great for photographing, but they’re a fun place to take a swim too!
